Jag

Jag (a.k.a. Jagannatha Suta) is a highly regarded producer and mix engineer, specializing in alternative and conscious music, particularly Mantra music.

With a remarkable portfolio of over 500 recorded songs, Jag has achieved significant success, including a number-one hit in Spain and physical record sales surpassing half a million copies.

Over the course of 35 years, Jag’s musical career has encompassed compositions for Universal Music and productions for Sony Music. In the early 1990s, he gained recognition through notable television appearances alongside prominent music icons and featured on Channel 4’s The Word alongside Whitney Houston, in addition to singing lead vocals on BBC Radio 2.

Jag has produced music at several prestigious recording facilities, including the iconic Abbey Road Studios, RAK Studios, Dean Street Studios, Berwick Street Studios, and Sarm Studios.

As the founder of Radha Krishna Records, a mantra-based record label based in Soho, London, Jag has produced more than 110 songs, building a distinctive catalogue rooted in mantra, meditation, and contemporary music. The label’s music has achieved an impressive 2.5 million streams annually, reflecting its growing reach with listeners around the world.

Jag’s productions bring together an exceptional calibre of musicians from across the international music scene. His collaborators have included guitarist Dave Randall, known for his work with Dido, Faithless, and Sinéad O’Connor; Hugh Burns, one of the UK’s most prolific session guitarists, whose playing features on iconic recordings including Gerry Rafferty’s Baker Street (1978) and George Michael’s Careless Whisper (1984); and bassist Oroh Angiama, who has performed with Ms. Dynamite, Talvin Singh, and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

He has also worked with drummer Andy Treacey, whose credits include Robbie Williams, Galliano, and the Lightning Seeds, as well as composer and arranger John Metcalfe, whose extensive credits include work associated with U2, George Michael, and Coldplay.

More recently, Jag has collaborated with Neil Fairclough, the touring bassist for Queen, who contributed bass to one of Jag’s recent productions.

Jag continues to combine the spiritual depth of mantra and conscious music with the musicianship and production values of contemporary recording, creating music that connects ancient traditions with a modern audience.
